Earlier messages: Call for papers

We are inviting submissions for the free issue of the Estonian Journal of Education / Eesti Haridusteaduste Ajakiri (Vol. 5, No. 2), which is scheduled to be published in November 2017. The journal welcomes high-quality research papers in the field of education and related areas. The editors of this issue are Associate Professor Merle Taimalu (University of Tartu), member of the advisory board Kristi Vinter (PhD, Tallinn University) and Astra Schults (PhD, University of Tartu).

Estonian Journal of Education is an international, peer-reviewed journal. The journal uses Open Journal Systems (OJS) and will be published in collaboration with the University of Tartu and Tallinn University by the University of Tartu Press. The journal is indexed in the database Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) and Google Scholar. It is submitted for inclusion in Thomson Reuters ISI Web of Science as well as Scopus database.

The deadlines for the publication are as follows:

  1. Author(s) will send the topic of the article(s) accompanied by the abstract in Estonian to Merle Taimalu (merle.taimalu@ut.ee). The abstract of no more than 200 words should summarise the theory of research, the objective(s), the methodology as well as the (expected) outcomes of the study – 16 October 2016.
  2. The editors send confirmation about the acceptance of the manuscripts to the corresponding authors – 7 November 2016.
  3. The authors will submit properly formatted manuscripts with a summary in English – 6 February 2017.
  4. The editors will inform the authors about the review results – 20 March 2017.
  5. The authors will revise the manuscripts suggested by the reviewers – 17 April 2017.
  6. Second revision of the manuscripts by the authors (if necessary) – 15 May 2017.
  7. The authors will secondly revise the manuscripts suggested by the reviewers – 5 June 2017
  8. Language editing of the manuscripts – June–August 2017.
  9. Lay-out of the journal at University of Tartu Press – September–October 2017.
  10. Date of final publication – 1 November 2017.

In the next free issue we welcome articles in the field of pre-school and primary education and it is due to be published in May 2018.
